Security Best Practices

Follow these guidelines to ensure maximum security when using AEGIS-Ω.

Wallet Security

  • Use Hardware Wallets: Store large amounts on Ledger or Trezor devices
  • Enable 2FA: Add two-factor authentication to all exchange accounts
  • Backup Seed Phrases: Store in multiple secure offline locations
  • Verify Addresses: Always double-check recipient addresses before sending

Smart Contract Interaction

  • Verify Contract Addresses: Only interact with official AEGIS-Ω contracts
  • Check Approvals: Regularly review and revoke unnecessary token approvals
  • Test Small Amounts: Try small transactions first before large transfers
  • Monitor Gas Fees: Be aware of network congestion and adjust gas accordingly

Common Scams to Avoid

  • Phishing Sites: Always verify you're on the official AEGIS-Ω website
  • Fake Support: Official support never asks for seed phrases or private keys
  • Airdrop Scams: Be suspicious of unsolicited airdrops requiring transactions
  • Impersonators: Verify social media accounts have official verification badges
